Небольшая компиляция: Belomo, Nikon, Zeiss, Schneider
Может кому тоже будет интересно.
Как-то давно Николай кидал ссылку на форум ювелиров на тему "что там говорят про Беломо".
Решил немного расширить, какие лупы еще могут быть интересны.
As for Nikon and Zeiss, as far as I know Nikon does not use coating for the 10X loupe or at least doesn´t claim it at all. Zeiss does. But both are VERY small - just 13mm. Schneider has at least as sharp optics (I would say even better than Nikon or Zeiss), but the lenses are much bigger. B&L and Belomo are as big as Schneider, but optics is IMHO incomparable. Good value for money still.[src]
The problem is that before I had tried Nikon I loved my Belomo. But since it I do not
Maybe I am just unstable in love
And since I started using Schneider I simply can´t use anything else, it became impossible. Schneider isn´t better than Belomo (or even Nikon/Zeiss), it is a league of its own actually.
But overall Belomo is a great choice.[src]
Belomo loupe is really nice and very cheap. Personally I see a huge difference between it and Harald Schneider and rather small at the same time - something like a difference between VVS1 and VS2 clarity with diamonds. However Belomo is still very good.[src]
As I´ve already said, if you see the VVS inclusions as good with Belomo as with Schneider your eyes are absolutely exceptional.[src]Nikon
Nikon is a perfect loupe, super sharp and crisp and not that much expensive.
Belomo isn't as great at all, but it is of a very good quality and very cheap
Schneider... have owned 18mm (grey) and 20mm (L1 GemologyPro)... not impressed for the price. The optics is very good, but not better than Nikon. Just my 2c.[src]
Despite many might disagree... I have owned Schneider GemologyPro and an older model (the grey one) and honestly cannot recommend any of them. The optics itself is good, but not great. The edges (and the area near to them) are very far from being good enough (unlike in case of Nikon for example which is perfect everywhere and under any angle). Schneider is a very good but terribly overpriced loupe, Nikon offers a better optics but is not widefield, Belomo is widefield but not quite sharp.[src]
Just wanted to share some experience. I have used Zeiss, Nikon, Belomo, Schneider 18mm, Schneider 20mm (GemologyPro) and a 18mm (fake) Schneider distributed by Rubin and Son.
Basically all except Belomo provide a great crisp image (no much difference in terms of sharpness/crispness), 2 of them (Zeiss and Nikon) are very small 13mm so the depth of image is way different than in case of Schneider and Belomo
, the difference comparing to them in this area is huge.
Belomo is a great value loupe, anti-reflection coated but the image is not as sharp as in case Nikon/Zeiss/Schneider (which are 3-10x more expensive though).
Schneider loupe is an excellent choice, but in my opinion rather in terms of depth because in terms of sharpness/crispness Nikon/Zeiss are comparable. In case of 20mm L1 (GemologyPro) close to the edges the image is not as sharp imo, 18 mm loupe is a better (better "tuned") option.
Schneider loupe "Original Schneider" sold by Rubin is a fake. It is a good loupe, but not as good as the original HARALD Schneider loupe being close in price, they are parasitizing on Harald Schneider (which is THAT famous Schneider loupe, unlike the one sold by Rubin), so if you are buying Schneider check it is "Harald Schneider 1949".
My personal choice in terms of value is Nikon.[src]Nikon vs Zeiss D40
Consumers love the Nikon for its clarity from one edge of the lens to the other, just like our top pick’s view. When it comes to view quality, this is about equal to Zeiss, although there have been reports that the Zeiss has a slight edge over Nikon.[src]Schneider L1 vs L2 vs standart
Shortly: Mr. Schneider says L2 got a completely new lens system that brings more clarity and depth.
L1 (sold as GemologyPro in the U.S.) and Standard (classic grey colour hexagonal housing) loupe differ in the field of vision size (20mm and 18mm). Otherwise the are similar.[src]
++ очень доступно (30USD)
Очень заинтриговали фразы: "Belomo loupe is really nice and very cheap. Personally I see a huge difference between it and Harald Schneider and rather small at the same time - something like a difference between VVS1 and VS2 clarity with diamonds." и "if you see the VVS inclusions as good with Belomo as with Schneider your eyes are absolutely exceptional".
